How background removal works
A neural segmentation model separates the main subject from everything behind it, then replaces the background with transparency. You get a PNG with a clean alpha channel ready to drop onto any design.
Private by design
The model runs entirely in your browser using your device's hardware. Product shots, ID photos and personal pictures never leave your computer — unlike typical online background removers.
First-run download
The segmentation model is a few tens of megabytes and loads the first time you run the tool. After that it's cached, so repeat cut-outs start almost instantly. Progress is shown while it works.
How to remove background
