Local recording

One private recorder for screen, webcam, and audio

Record a browser tab, application window, full screen, webcam, or microphone without installing a desktop app. The selected source is captured on this device, and the finished recording stays in the current browser tab until you download it.

Screen recorder
Capture the tab, window, or display you approve in your browser’s sharing dialog.
Webcam recorder
Record camera video with audio, preview the result, or save a still PNG snapshot.
Audio recorder
Create a microphone-only recording for voice notes, narration, interviews, or quick sound checks.
Screen and microphone
Combine your shared screen with microphone audio for walkthroughs, demos, and lessons.

How to record your screen or camera online

  1. Step 01

    Choose a recording mode

Select Screen, Webcam, Microphone, or Screen + mic above, then choose the source when your browser asks.

  2. Step 02

    Start and stop recording

Confirm the preview, start recording, and keep this tab open. Stop from Convertur or your browser’s sharing controls.

  3. Step 03

    Preview and download

Review the recording, download the original file, or convert a video recording to MP4 before saving it.

Recording permissions stay under your control

Your browser shows its own permission prompt before sharing a screen, camera, or microphone. Convertur can use only the source you approve, and active capture stops when you end sharing, change modes, or leave the page.

Browser capabilities vary. Tab audio and system audio may appear only for certain shared sources, while the available recording codec depends on the browser. Convertur uses a supported WebM codec first and offers local MP4 conversion for finished video.
