What is a WOFF file?

WOFF 1.0 is a web font format from 2010. It wraps a TrueType or OpenType font and compresses each table with zlib. Browsers read it in @font-face rules, but operating systems and desktop apps don't install it.

How to convert WOFF to TTF

Drop one or more .woff files above and press Convert all. The tool reads the WOFF table directory, inflates every compressed table, checks that each one comes out at the size the file declares, and writes a standard sfnt font with a fresh table directory. TrueType fonts are saved as .ttf and CFF-based fonts as .otf. Download the fonts and install them.

Lossless by design

WOFF compression is lossless, so the unpacked font has exactly the same tables as the font that was wrapped. Glyphs, metrics, kerning and OpenType features are all there. Extended WOFF metadata and private data blocks, which most fonts don't have, are not copied, since a TTF has no place for them.

Before you start

Input: WOFF. Output: TTF. The settings appear before anything runs, so you can check them first. Your original file is never changed.

Archives and fonts can hold many files or complex tables. Look over the file names you get. Don't open programs you didn't expect, and keep the source until you have checked the output.

Steps to convert WOFF to TTF
