Why convert WOFF2 to TTF?

WOFF2 is a web-only format. Windows, macOS, design apps such as Figma's desktop font installer, Photoshop, Word and most game engines can't install or open it. A TTF can be installed on any system and used in any app. Developers also convert WOFF2 to TTF to inspect a font in a font editor or to feed tools that only read TrueType.

How to convert WOFF2 to TTF

Drop one or more .woff2 files above and press Convert all. The decoder from Google's woff2 library, compiled to WebAssembly, decompresses the Brotli data and rebuilds the glyf and loca tables into a standard font file. Fonts with TrueType outlines come out as .ttf. Fonts with CFF outlines come out as .otf, because calling them .ttf would mislabel them. Download the files and install them.

What you get

The rebuilt font has the same glyphs, metrics, kerning and OpenType features as the WOFF2. Web fonts are often subset for one site, so a WOFF2 taken from a website may contain only some characters or only one weight. If letters are missing after you install it, the web font simply didn't include them.

Check the license

A font file from a website is still covered by its license. Many commercial web licenses allow use on the licensed site only, not installation on your computer. Open-source fonts such as those under the SIL Open Font License can be used freely.

Before you start

Input: WOFF2. Output: TTF. The settings appear before anything runs, so you can check them first. Your original file is never changed.

Archives and fonts can hold many files or complex tables. Look over the file names you get. Don't open programs you didn't expect, and keep the source until you have checked the output.
