How the volume boost works
The tool multiplies the audio signal's amplitude by the factor you choose. A value of 2× roughly doubles the perceived loudness of a quiet track.
Watch for clipping
Boosting too far can push loud peaks past the maximum and cause distortion. If a track already peaks loudly, use a smaller multiplier for a clean result.
