What converting SVG to PNG does

SVG is a vector format. It describes shapes with math, so it stays sharp at any size. Converting to PNG turns those shapes into a fixed grid of pixels at the size you pick. This step is called rasterizing.

Why convert SVG to PNG?

Many email clients, older editors, social sites, slide apps and app stores can't show SVG. A PNG opens almost anywhere, and you choose its resolution. PNG is also the usual format for app icons, sticker packs and logo files you send to a printer.

How to convert SVG to PNG

Drop the .svg files above, choose 1x, 2x or 4x and press Convert all. Your browser draws each SVG at its own size, taken from its width and height or its viewBox, multiplied by the scale. An icon that is 24 × 24 at 1x becomes 96 × 96 at 4x. If an SVG has no size information at all, it is drawn at 512 pixels and then scaled.

Fonts, images and transparency

Transparent areas stay transparent. The browser renders the SVG in a safe image mode, so text set in a web font that isn't installed on your device falls back to a system font, and images linked from other websites are not drawn. Convert text to outlines in your design tool before exporting if the exact font matters.

Input: SVG. Output: PNG. The settings appear before anything runs, so you can check them first. Your original file is never changed.

Pick the size and quality for where the image will end up. Resizing before strong compression usually keeps more visible detail. Keep an untouched original so you can export again later.
