How to convert HTML to PDF

Drop an .html file above or paste HTML into the box, then press Create PDF. The HTML is loaded into a hidden print view with a light print stylesheet, and your browser's print dialog opens. Choose "Save as PDF" as the destination and save. The page is laid out by the same engine that prints web pages.

Why it works this way

The browser already knows how to lay out HTML, apply CSS and split content into pages. Printing through it gives you real vector text that you can select and search, working links and correct page breaks. Small in-page PDF libraries that draw HTML onto a canvas can't match that and often produce blurry images of text.

Best results

HTML with inline styles or a <style> block works best. External stylesheets and remote images may not load in the print view, so put what you need inside the file or embed images as data URLs. Use CSS print rules such as page-break-before or break-inside: avoid to control where pages split, and @page to set margins.

Common uses

Save an HTML invoice, receipt or report template as a PDF, archive an email exported as HTML, turn a documentation page into a handout, or check how a page will look when a visitor prints it.

Before you start

Input: HTML and HTM. Output: PDF. The settings appear before anything runs, so you can check them first. Your original file is never changed.

A document conversion may not keep every font, layout rule, embedded object, subtitle cue or app-specific feature. Read through the full result before you send or submit it.

Keep the original until you have opened and checked the result. The work happens in this browser tab, so the size you can handle depends on your device's memory, your browser and the file itself.
