How to convert JPG to PDF

Drop your JPG files above, or PNG, WebP and iPhone HEIC photos. They are listed in the order you added them, and each one becomes a page in that order. Why put images in a PDF?

A PDF is easier to email, print and file than a folder of images. The pages stay in order and look the same on every device. Forms that ask for a single document, such as visa applications, receipts for expense claims or scanned ID pages, usually want a PDF rather than a set of photos.

Page size options

Fit to image makes each page exactly the size of its image, with one point per pixel, so there are no borders. A4 portrait and US Letter put every image on a standard page, scaled to fit inside a 24 point margin and centered. Pick A4 or Letter when the PDF will be printed or submitted somewhere that expects standard pages.

File size and image quality

Each JPG is placed in the PDF byte for byte, without being decoded or compressed again, so the pages look exactly like the photos and the PDF is about the size of the JPGs added together. PNGs keep their pixels and transparency. A JPG whose EXIF data says it should be rotated, and HEIC photos, are drawn the right way up and saved as high-quality JPEG first. If the PDF is too big for an upload limit, shrink the photos with the image compressor or resizer before you add them.

Before you start

Input: JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC, and HEIF. Output: PDF. The settings appear before anything runs, so you can check them first. Your original file is never changed.

Pick the size and quality for where the image will end up. Resizing before strong compression usually keeps more visible detail. Keep an untouched original so you can export again later.
