How to combine PDF files into one

Drop two or more PDFs above. Each file appears in a list with its size. Use the up and down arrows to set the order, remove any file you added by mistake, then press Merge PDFs. The pages of the first file come first, then the pages of the second, and so on. Pages inside each file keep their original order. The result downloads as merged.pdf.

Merge without uploading

Contracts, bank statements and medical records should not go to a site you don't know. This tool uses pdf-lib to build the merged PDF inside your browser tab. The files stay on your computer, and closing the tab clears them from memory.

What carries over and what doesn't

Pages are copied, not redrawn. Text stays selectable, fonts stay embedded and images keep their quality, so the merged file looks exactly like the originals. Bookmarks from the source files are not copied into the merged PDF. Fillable form fields can stop working after a merge, so fill in forms before you combine them. Password-protected PDFs can't be opened and need their password removed first.

Common reasons to merge PDFs

Join scanned pages that a scanner saved as separate files. Combine an application form, a CV and certificates into the single upload a portal asks for. Put monthly invoices or statements into one file for an accountant. Gather chapters exported separately from a word processor into one book.

Before you start

Input: PDF. Output: Merged PDF. The settings appear before anything runs, so you can check them first. Your original file is never changed.

If layout, notes, forms, signatures or fonts matter, check the new PDF page by page. A file that opens is not the same as a file that looks right.

Keep the original until you have opened and checked the result. The work happens in this browser tab, so the size you can handle depends on your device's memory, your browser and the file itself.
