Convert PDF to PNG
Convert PDF to PNG, one lossless image per page at 2x resolution. Download pages one by one or as a ZIP. Pages are rendered in your browser.
What PDF to PNG does
It draws each PDF page into a lossless PNG. Text, tables and line art stay as sharp as they look in the document at that resolution, with no compression smudges around letters.
How to convert PDF to PNG
Drop a PDF above and PDF.js renders each page in your browser at twice its PDF size, about 144 pixels per inch. A US Letter page becomes 1224 × 1584 pixels. Each page appears as a preview. Download single pages, or Download all (ZIP) to get every page at once.
Why convert PDF to PNG?
PNG is lossless, so it is the better choice for pages with text, diagrams, logos or screenshots that need clean edges. It is the usual pick for putting a document page into a slide deck, a wiki or design software.
Resolution and file size
PNG files are bigger than JPGs, often two to five times for text pages. Pages are placed on a white background, so the PNG has no transparency. For photo-heavy pages where size matters, use PDF to JPG instead.
Before you start
Input: PDF. Output: PNG. The settings appear before anything runs, so you can check them first. Your original file is never changed.
Pick the size and quality for where the image will end up. Resizing before strong compression usually keeps more visible detail. Keep an untouched original so you can export again later.
Keep the original until you have opened and checked the result. The work happens in this browser tab, so the size you can handle depends on your device's memory, your browser and the file itself.
