What rotating does

It turns each chosen page by a quarter turn or a half turn, added to any rotation the page already has. Scans that came in sideways or upside down get fixed. The page content itself is not touched.

How to rotate a PDF

Drop the PDF above and pick 90° clockwise, 180° or 90° counter-clockwise. Leave the page field empty to rotate the whole document, or type pages like 1,3-4 when only a few came out wrong. Press Rotate PDF and download the result. The rotation is saved in the file, so it shows correctly in every PDF viewer, not only on your screen.

Rotate all pages or just some

A scanner often feeds a mix of upright and sideways sheets, so only some pages end up turned. Type just those page numbers and the rest stay as they are. If some pages need 90° and others 180°, run the tool once per angle on the downloaded file.

Page quality

Rotation only changes a setting that tells viewers which way to show the page. Text, fonts and images stay exactly as they were, and the file size barely changes.

Before you start

Input: PDF. Output: Rotated PDF. The settings appear before anything runs, so you can check them first. Your original file is never changed.

If layout, notes, forms, signatures or fonts matter, check the new PDF page by page. A file that opens is not the same as a file that looks right.

Keep the original until you have opened and checked the result. The work happens in this browser tab, so the size you can handle depends on your device's memory, your browser and the file itself.

How to rotate PDF pages
