Convert TIFF to PNG
Convert TIFF to PNG that opens everywhere and keeps transparency. Lossless output, decoded in your browser with UTIF and never uploaded.
What is TIFF?
TIFF is a lossless, high-detail format used in scanning, publishing and archiving. It is great for master copies, but browsers and everyday image viewers handle it poorly, and most websites won't take it as an upload.
Why convert TIFF to PNG?
PNG keeps the lossless quality of TIFF and opens on every device, browser and app. It also supports transparency, so cutouts and graphics stay clean. That makes PNG a good format for sharing scanned line art, diagrams and screenshots without losing a pixel.
How to convert TIFF to PNG
Drop the .tif or .tiff files above and press Convert all. The UTIF decoder reads each file in your browser and the pixels are written into a PNG. There is no quality setting, because PNG never discards detail. Download each PNG or the whole batch as a ZIP.
Quality notes
For a multi-page TIFF, only the first page is converted. The PNG keeps the decoded pixels exactly, alpha included, so it suits editing and archiving. A PNG made from a scanned photo can still be large. If size matters more than exact pixels, use TIFF to JPG.
Before you start
Input: TIF and TIFF. Output: PNG. The settings appear before anything runs, so you can check them first. Your original file is never changed.
A format change can affect compression, transparency, color and metadata. Zoom in on fine detail and transparent areas in the result. Work on a copy if the photo is one you want to keep.
Keep the original until you have opened and checked the result. The work happens in this browser tab, so the size you can handle depends on your device's memory, your browser and the file itself.
