Convert video to MP3
Convert video to MP3 online. Extract the audio from MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI, WMV and other videos as an MP3 file. Runs in your browser, no upload.
One converter for every video format
Phones record MOV or MP4, screen recorders save WebM or MKV, older cameras and downloads arrive as AVI, WMV, FLV, 3GP or MPEG, and camcorders write MTS. This page takes all of them. It finds the first audio track in the video, drops the picture and saves the sound as an MP3 that plays in any music app, car stereo or podcast player.
Extract audio from a video as MP3
Drop one or more videos above, or tap the box on a phone and pick them from your gallery. Leave the bitrate on Auto or choose one in the options panel, then press Convert all. Download each MP3 on its own or the whole batch as a ZIP. You can mix formats in one batch, such as an iPhone MOV next to a WebM screen recording.
What happens to your video
Nothing leaves your device. For MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM and MPEG-TS files, MediaBunny reads only the audio track with your browser's own media decoders, so long videos finish quickly. When the browser can't decode a file, and for AVI, WMV, FLV, 3GP and MPEG-PS, the page uses FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly instead. That engine downloads the first time it is needed and your browser can cache it.
Bitrate and quality
Video soundtracks are already compressed, usually as AAC, so turning one into MP3 re-encodes it. On Auto the MP3 follows the source bitrate where it can. For music choose 192 or 256 kbps, and for lectures, meetings and voice notes 96 or 128 kbps keeps files small. A higher bitrate can't add detail that the video's soundtrack never had.
Need the original soundtrack instead?
An MP3 is the right choice when a player, editor or upload form asks for MP3. If you only want the sound and the format doesn't matter, Extract Original Video Audio copies the soundtrack without re-encoding it, usually into an M4A file, so it keeps the exact quality of the video. For an uncompressed file to edit in an audio program, use MP4 to WAV.
Before you start
Input: MP4, M4V, MOV, QT, MKV, WEBM, AVI, WMV, FLV, 3GP, MPG, MPEG, TS, MTS, M2TS, and OGV. Output: MP3. The settings appear before anything runs, so you can check them first. Your original file is never changed.
Converting audio can change the codec, bitrate, channels, tags and length. Listen to the start and end of the result. Keep a lossless original if you may edit it again.
Keep the original until you have opened and checked the result. The work happens in this browser tab, so the size you can handle depends on your device's memory, your browser and the file itself.
